In this picture i used a normal picture of a american flag and put a put a paint daubs filter to distort the image a little bit.

Artist Statement

This artwork called photography is used in a lot of ways, you can use it to take photos for fun and keep them as memories or you can really get into it and use it as a art. I use photography to take a lot of pictures for fun but also as a way to express different things you take pictures of.
I've pretty much just started doing this year but i have always had an interest in this form of art. I like this art because its really easy but it can also be really hard to do because you need to set up for a lot of stuff, you nee to find the lighting,shutter speeds and play with the hundreds of options that your camera has so its pretty tricky. My favorite artistic things to do when i am taking pictures is taking pictures of random things that people wouldn't usually take pictures of or weird and awkward things. I grew up in Concord,CA and was born in Walnut Creek,CA, i live with both of my parents, my grandma and my dog lily. My favorite non art thing to do is work on cars , go to car meets and gatherings, hangout with friends and family and last but not least go cruising around town with my car.

this is shawn leegwater a Jr. from ygnacio valley high school, he currently is in 5th period photo with Ms.Welch and he has a very slow car, it has hot wheel wheels that are worth $90 and $10 tires , its super high off the ground  its better off being a truck maybe even a monster truck!

Back From Winter Break

The weather is miserable and we all dont feel like doing anything yet
we are now working on our photo project,all is going well....:)
All we need to do is to take pictures of our model and post the pictures

Pinhole camera

The first thing i did when i assembled my camera was to....
- i got a oatmeal container
-i spray painted the inside black
-made a hole in the box
-glued a piece of aluminum foil and put it over the hole
-made a tiny hole with a needle in the foil
-made a shutter out of card board
-then wrapped the container in electrical tape

HI my name is Gabe Santos and im a senior at Ygnacio Valley High School , im 17 years old i live in concord, after graduation i want to pursue in the medical field , i want to be a paramedic one day but for college i still don't know what to major in , but ill i sometime in DVC to decide what im really going to do in my life. Im a very outdoors person i go riding in lime ridge once a day for a daily workout, riding mountain bikes is my hobby and i love it cause you get a great workout and you have fun at the same time your doing it .
